Click here to listen to episode 4 of Powerful Thought.

If you are dealing with cancer or another terminal disease, join a support group. You need people who will listen to what you are going through and who will allow you to truly express feeling and, equally important, they'll understand. They are going through many of the same things you are facing and can provide empathy, compassion, insights and, many times good, practical solutions.

From Pat's son

Hello everyone. My name is Ian. I am Pat's son, and just wanted you all to know that she passed away on April 5, at 5:25 P.M. Losing her is the most challenging thing I have ever had to face, but getting the time that I have with her over the last two years has been fantastic. Her amazing attitude and bravery that she faced the end of her life with was truly inspiring, and allowed us many precious moments which I will always cherish.

I will be doing a final podcast for her at soe point, though I suspect it will be after some time has passed. I will post it to this site after I get the majority of things taken care of that I need to . I will also be posting the audio of her memorial service here.

She was always by far, my favorite person on the planet. She is now, and will always be deeply missed.

Mom's memorial service

For those that didn't have the good fortune to make it to my mom's memorial, I am posting the audio of it here. I still intend on recording an epilogue for this site, as I feel it's important to not just end it abruptly. I know that mom would have wanted me to send her regards, and deliver a final message. There is one more thing: If anyone with terminal illness runs across this podcast, and is committed to beating the odds in what ever manner they can, please e-mail me at: ian at candycartoon.com (please Put "Attn: powerful thought" in the subject line. I would love to record a podcast with you and put it here. Also: if you are recording your own podcast with this topic, I will gladly link to you here. The original idea for this site was to be a place where people could share their stories, and connect with each other in audio form... So, without further ado: Click on my mom's image below to hear her memorial.
